Weird Sisters Get Around
8/6 Box Office 01482 323638

Taboo-shattering Weird Sisters leave art behind and go for twisted comedy in a travelogue that makes audiences beg for mercy, with extreme and unlikely characters in grotesque and absurd sketches. In Weird Sisters Get Around, this sexy but stupid duo insult everyone. Meet Ken and Helga Muller, cruise-liner cabaret veterans; Peubla and Guava, scantily-clad Peruvian peasants; Shine, an American contortionist; and Martin, a wannabe drag queen from South London.

Devised by Kath Burlinson and Alison Goldie and directed by Cal McCrystal, Weird Sisters Get Around is an eye-popping, jaw-dropping, toecurling and sexy show.

Are you a budding Victoria Wood, Dawn French or Rhona Cameron?

Join the Weird Sisters for a two hour blast of comedy creativity to help you flex your funny-ness. The Weird Sisters give you tools to build routines, create characters, spin dialogue and generally build comic confidence in a warm and friendly space. Using improvisation games and exercises, they can coax out your womanly wit and enable you to see just how humorous you really are.

The Weird Sisters make people laugh all over the world, and between them have produce two comedy plays, a sketch show, a cabaret act, and lashings of stand-up. They were recently seen being very mischievous in Channel 5s Female Fantasies.

Alison and Kath have won many awards for their comedy performances including Best Show at the Adelaide Fringe Festival in 2000, Outstanding Production, Vancouver Festival 1998 & 1999, Best Female Performer Award, Orlando Festival 1999, and were Best Ensemble nominees at The Stage Awards, Edinburgh 2000.
